Ascending the HU-212 from Jasa to Aísa I spotted a suspicious piece of golden-yellow cardboard in mint condition in the middle of the road …

Went back a few meters to the pick it up. Turns out it was the blister packaging for some coin cell type batteries, CR-2032 or such. These are frequently used in outdoor gear like headlamps, safety lights and other electronics (e.g. speed/cadence/HR sensors).

It wasn’t the only piece of likely cycling-originated garbage I would pick up during the TPR and then bin at the next opportunity. But I would also later lose a pair of tyre levers. Altogether does my race now have a less negative environmental balance?!
